Chalk this one up to a natural sound captured by the Cassini space probe. However, the creator of this video believes that there is alien speech in the signal. I did take the original sound as suggested by the author and transpose the pitch using ACID. I was not able to reproduce the effect. Like someone already commented, “this sounds like Ring Modulation”. I have to agree. I think the author added a digital effect to the sound to make it different than the original. Just transposing the sound does not produce a similar effect. Yes, if I add a filter (plate reverb or such) it will produce a “ring modulation” but all sounds that have ring modulation added sound robotic.
